2012 Phoenix Ball

On February 3rd, the Gentlemen of the Phoenix Club of Birminghamare once again proud to host the event that is setting the gold standardin the Magic City. The line-up includes live music by Meteorite, Friday Special pasta & rollups by Birmingham’s own Taziki’s Mediterranean, a signature shot poured over a block of ice,and socializing with the finest collection of young professional men &women in Birmingham. With over 500 attendees, this event is not one you want to miss. So if you are somebody – or you want to become somebody – strap on your dancing shoes and make plans to attend this year's Phoenix Ball. You won't be disappointed.

Phoenix Club presents Rudy Giuliani at Pleasant Grove High School

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani visited with 300 juniors and seniors at Pleasant Grove High School on February 7, 2011. The event was organized by the Phoenix Club of Birmingham in partnership with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama (www.bgcca.org) and highlighted the influence of the BGCCA on youth in the area. Mayor Giuliani spoke to the group of students about the fundamentals of leadership along with the importance of setting goals and maintaining relationships with friends & family. Pleasant Grove High School Principal Wayne Byrum welcomed Mayor Giuliani to the new campus while Coach Tom Cleckler and Jamie Gilmore of the BGCCA hosted an intimate meet & greet with the Mayor for BGCCA students, staff, and supporters. Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange attended the day’s events, showing his support for local programs such as the BGCCA that demonstrate a positive effect on children in our state. The Phoenix Club of Birmingham is proud to have promoted this unique visit with one of our nation’s most recognizable leaders.

Phoenix Club News Update

The Phoenix Club delivered a brand new ping pong table to The Hueytown Branch of The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Birmingham on 12/21/10. The kids were thrilled and many came up to the Phoenicians and thanked them for all that they do. A large amount of gifts were also delivered to the Bessemer Branch. Thank you to all of our Phoenicians who donated their time and gifts to make this holiday season special for the BGCCA!
